Don’t worry. No matter how much you don’t want to listen to Donald Trump declare victory over the economy, common sense, and the Second Law of Thermodynamics, you aren’t going to escape. You can never escape. Every news outlet is going to force feed you slices of DJ Purplehands for the next week (with the most nonsensical rambling about how strong men want to kiss him, but he doesn’t want to kiss them back, really, no really, edited out).
But we are not watching. And we won’t make you watch. So …
Come in under the shadow of this red rock.
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.
But Trump will not be there.
So how bad can it be.
Rep. Al Green (D-Texas), who was carrying a sign saying “Black people aren't apes,” was escorted off the floor. This is the second consecutive year that Green has been removed removed from the president's address to Congress for protesting. https://wapo.st/3ZQywBr

The real question is: Why wasn't every other Democratic member of Congress carrying a sign?
Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib heckle Trump as he goes full fear-mongering white nationalist

Great moments in losership.

We could not have asked for more: Trump has doubled down on every horrible, unpopular thing he has done. Claimed this terrible mess of an economy is great, celebrated the violence and racism he’s brought us. He’s lied and lied. And the entire GOP cheered him on. They can’t break from it.

But I'm sure both the NYT and Atlantic will have nice things to say.

You may now exit the bunker. Please be sure to pick up your personal items as you leave, and watch out for falling poll numbers.
Stay safe out there.
